Wells Fargo Employee Found Dead At Her Desk Four Days After Dying When Employees Finally Decide To Investigate Nauseating Stench
Co-workers at a Wells Fargo office in Tempe, Arizona found the remains of Wells Fargo employee Denise Prudhomme at her desk on August 20, 2024. Prudhomme had died at her desk four days earlier.
Co-workers discovered Prudhomme’s body after they began investigating the smell of decaying meat and squadrons of flies hovering over Prudhomme’s cubicle. This then lead to on-site security to call police.
Firefighters also responded and pronounced the woman dead at 4:55 p.m.
Tempe authorities have not disclosed Prudhomme’s cause of death.
Police conducted an initial investigation and found no obvious signs of foul play. However, the investigation is ongoing and authorities are still interviewing employees at the Wells Fargo location to get more information.
A unnamed employee Wells Fargo workers reported smelling a foul stench but thought it was an issue with the plumbing.
At least one employee told the outlet they wondered why Wells Fargo didn’t formally address workers about the woman’s death initially.
KPNX reported that most Wells Fargo employees in the office work remotely but the building has 24/7 security.
The bank stated Prudhomme sat in a “very underpopulated area” of the building.
They also told media that the company is saddened by Prudhomme’s death:
