Pissed Off Capital One Customer Arrested For Threatening Capital One Executives Over Collection Dispute

Capital One CustomerA Capital One customer with a history of threatening corporations is facing up to five years in federal prison. Taylor Bullard allegedly vowed to assassinate company executives using a machete and gasoline to accomplish his plot.

Bullard had been wrapped up in a dispute with the bank’s collections agency. He claimed that Capital One was wrongly going after him over a debt he said he had already paid.

The December 12th email stated:

“Call me before I show up to one of their locations with a machete and gasoline. You have ruined my ability to buy a home. I’m 34 with a 100k+ job and it’s time I target the people and companies that have ruined my ability to live the life I deserve. I will be coming after your executive team personally. Please call me before I do things that are unforgivable and will make your executive team question their life choices. Thank you, Taylor Bullard”

Bullard sent the message as an answer to a Capital One email. The email urged him to create a payment plan to resolve his approximate $543 debt with the company.

U.S. Marshals arrested Bullard last week in Houston. A federal judge released him on $25,000 bond.

His arrest came after FBI agents traced the IP address back to Bullard’s home. He is facing a single charge of sending threatening interstate communications. The charge which carries a sentence of up to five years in prison. The case is being tried in Virginia near Capital One’s headquarters

An affidavit obtained by the network states that Bullard has a history of making threats, including the following incidents:

  • Allegedly threatened to release anthrax at another company’s event in 2017
  • Allegedly left a voicemail threatening to open fire with an AK-47 at a different company in 2022

The FBI interviewed Bullard after making the alleged anthrax threat. Bullard allegedly told authorities that he was seeking attention. He also and wanted to see the companies sweat. However, he had no intention to harm anyone or himself.
