DOJ Has Indicted A New Hampshire Man For Threatening To Kill And Disembowel Three Presidential Candidates
The US DOJ has indicted a Lee Harvey Oswald wannabe with three counts of threatening to kill three presidential candidates.
30-year-old Tyler Anderson sent threatening text messages to the candidates.
The Department of Justice charged Anderson of Dover, New Hampshire with three counts of transmitting in interstate commerce a threat to injure the person of another.
Anderson sent the first series of texts in late November. Anderson threatened to “impale” and “disembowel” one candidate.
On December 6th, 2023, Anderson also threatened a second candidate. Anderson’s texts would make Lee Harvey Oswald blush with envy. Anderson wrote that he would “blow the head off” of the candidate. He then further stated he would conduct a “mass shooting.”
On Dec. 8th, Anderson also threatened via text message that he would “blow the brains out” of a third candidate. In addition, he also stated he would “kill everyone” who would attend a scheduled campaign event.
The threats follow a mass shooting in nearby Maine in late October that left 18 people dead.
According to the press release, Anderson was arrested on December 9th. He made an initial appearance in federal court on December 11th. He was released with conditions on December 14th.

Anderson also has no criminal record.
As a result, the judge set forth several conditions for Anderson’s release:
- He is to avoid contact with any presidential candidate and their political campaigns.
- Anderson must continue to receiving mental health treatment.
- He must also take all of his prescribed medications.
- Anderson must remove all guns from his home.
Anderson faces a maximum of five years in prison and up to three years of supervised release. In addition, he also faces a fine of up to $250,000 for each charge.

The Attorney General’s office did not name the three presidential candidates in its press release. However, presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy claims he was one of the candidates Anderson threatened.
The campaign says they received two text messages from Anderson. One threatened to shoot the candidate in the head and the other threatened to kill everyone at the event and desecrate their corpses.
