Backstabbing President Donald “The Snake” Trump Fires US Attorney Preet Bharara
President Donald “The Snake” Trump fired US attorney Preet Bharara.
Attorney General Jeff Sessions asked Preet Bharara to resign in addition to 45 other federal prosecutors yesterday. Yet, Bharara was being defiant.
President Barack Obama appointed 93 prosecutors. 47 of them have already resigned and as of yesterday, 46 prosecutors had not submitted their resignations.
The Trump administration is now demanding the remaining prosecutors to submit their resignations immediately.
Yet, the high-profile US attorney for Manhattan publicly refused to resign.
Consequently, this forced Donald “The Snake” Trump to fire the popular prosecutor.
Bharara announced he had officially been fired on Twitter.
I did not resign. Moments ago I was fired. Being the US Attorney in SDNY will forever be the greatest honor of my professional life.

As a result, Bharara now feels blindsided by the move and is livid.
Trump and Bharara met in November 2016 at Trump Tower. Trump asked Bharara to stay on the job and they also shook hands on the deal.
Furthermore, Trump directed Bharara to tell the media, “I asked you to stay.”
Donald “The Snake” Trump asked Bharara to continue as a prosecutor at the behest of New York Senator Chuck Schumer.
Schumer made the request when he and Trump were discussing how they could work together.
New York Republicans also voiced support for Preet Bharara. Assemblyman Brian M. Kolb wrote on Twitter:
Good for Preet, he is doing the job he was appointed to do!
GOP Assemblyman Steven F. McLaughlin had urged Trump and Attorney General Jeff Sessions to reconsider on Friday. He wrote on Twitter:
