Pro-Romney Business Owners Threaten Employees Is A Clear Sign WASP Domination Of America Is Coming To An End

In a June conference call hosted by the National Federation of Independent Businesses, Mitt Romney encouraged business owners to discuss the  upcoming election with their employees and to proudly proclaim to them that they were supporting his campaign and that their jobs are on the line if they vote for President Obama.

“I hope you make it very clear to your employees what you believe is in the best interest of your enterprise and therefore their job and their future in the upcoming elections.”

Don’t believe me? Listen to this:

Now granted Romney is trying to fire up his supporters and I know the Democrats do it as well.  However, what Romney is saying here is code for is that is okay to intimidate and threaten your employees with their jobs if they disagree with your endorsement of him.

I have been bombarded by calls over the past month from about 50 people including about a dozen family members and friends who have told me that that their bosses have had special company meetings where they were told repeatedly that if President Obama wins re-election they will all be fired.  One business owner even threatened his employees with termination if they refused to sign pledge cards in support of Mitt Romney.

What amazes me about this is not that this is blatantly illegal, but the fact that the majority of these employers are in states where it’s pretty evident that President Obama is going to win like Massachusetts, Michigan and New York.  So any intimidation tactics that they would employ would be futile.   As the GOP pointed out in the 2000 Presidential election, the popular vote doesn’t count.  It’s the Electoral Votes that pick the President of the United States.   You would think business owners would understand this but like the average American, they are totally oblivious to how their government operates because they slept through their government class in high school.

So how could people who run multi-million dollar businesses be that stupid? Well, the fact is they are not.  They are assuming they’re employees are.  It takes a certain level of arrogance to start and operate a successful business.  The problem is after awhile business owners become self absorbed and begin to live in an mental Ivory Tower like C. Montgomery Burns from The Simpsons.  It’s this disconnect from reality that gets them into trouble.

The appearance of these types of tactics is clear sign that the GOP is clearly worried that President Obama is going win re-election and as a party they should be.  If Romney loses in November and it’s becoming more and more evident he will,   There is a good chance the Democrats could control the White House through 2030 or longer if the GOP keeps embracing their image of being the party of Bible thumping overweight rich WASPs (White anglo-Saxon Protestants).

For the past four years, the GOP has trying to scare people with apocalyptic warnings of  “class warfare”.  Well, it’s not the liberals initiating it, it’s the 1% bring it on themselves with employee intimidation and taking their self-absorbed arrogance to an all new level.

“I want you to look at him in all of his glory.  The entrepreneur of post-industrial America, playing God with other people’s money. The robber barons of old at least left something tangible in their wake- a coal mine, a railroad, banks. This man leaves nothing. He creates nothing. He builds nothing. He runs nothing. And in his wake lies nothing but a blizzard of paper to cover the pain. ” -Andrew Jorgenson, Other People’s Money

There is nothing wrong with being rich in America.  After all, America is the land of opportunity but there is a difference between the 19th century rich who built this country and the 21st century rich will destroy it.  The difference is, the Morgans, the Rockefellers, the Vanderbilts all built something that improved our society and contributed back to our communities.  So you have to ask yourself this year, as a billionaire, what has Mitt Romney left has his legacy?
