Actor Mickey Rourke Creates GoFundMe Begging Fans For Money

Associates Of Actor Mickey Rourke Create GoFundMe Account To Save Rourke From Being Evicted From His LA Home

actor mickey rourkeActor Mickey Rourke has found himself in legal trouble again. His landlord has filed an eviction notice with LA County Superior Court. The landlord alleges Rourke owes $60,000 in back rent on his Los Angeles home.

Rourke’s management team have allegedly launched a GoFundMe to help the actor raise the money to stay in his home.

So far the fundraiser has raised over $70,000 in donations after 24 hours. Rourke has denied any involvement in setting up the fundraiser since it started receiving media attention. He also urged fans not to donate.

Rourke denied any involvement in a video shared on Instagram:

“Something’s come up that I’m really frustrated, confused, and I don’t understand. Somebody set up some kind of foundation or fund for me to donate money, like charity. And that’s not me, OK? If I needed money, I wouldn’t ask for no f—ing charity. I’d rather stick a gun up my a– and pull the trigger.”

He also said:

“Whoever did this … I don’t know why they did it. I don’t understand it. I wouldn’t know what a GoFund foundation is in a million years. My life is very simple. I don’t go to outside sources like that. Yeah, it is embarrassing, but I’m sure I’ll get over it like everything else.”

Rourke is facing eviction after he failed to pay nearly $60,000 in rent on a LA bungalow.

A complaint filed in Los Angeles Superior Court states Rourke rented the property earlier this year. He agreed to pay $5,200 a month which later went up to $7,000 a month.

Rourke rented the property around the same time he agreed to leave “Celebrity Big Brother UK” earlier this year.
