Aretha Franklin Estate Selling Her Detroit Home For $800,000. That’s C-H-E-A-P! 

Aretha Franklin The Aretha Franklin Estate is selling a piece of musical history. They are selling the legendary singer’s home in the posh Detroit suburb of Bloomfield Township. the asking price is $800,000. That price is C-H-E-A-P!

Realtor.com reported that the Colonial-style home at 4585 Kiftsgate Bend is listed through The Michael Team at ReMax. 

The 4,148-square-foot brick home is located in the gated community of “Hills of Lone Pine”. The beautiful lot overlooks two ponds and has five bedrooms and seven bathrooms. The house also sports a huge library and a 3 car garage. 

The house also has a two-story marble foyer that opens to a 2-Story Great Room with a Fireplace and wet bar. The spacious 1st Floor Master Suite with his and hers matching walk-in closets. 

aretha franklinThe two bedrooms also sport their own elegant marble bathrooms with saunas, jetted bathtubs and marble showers. The interior of the home does need to be remodeled. The Michael Team at ReMax also states the property is a great candidate for a renovation. The outside of the house also features a huge circular driveway and a courtyard entrance.

Photos posted online show empty spacious rooms after spacious room with many of the windows featuring elegant bars.  

The Oakland County Register of Deeds shows Aretha Franklin bought the house in 1997 for $1.2 million and remodeled it in 2002.

Franklin died in August at age 76. She was living in Riverfront Towers in Detroit toward the end of her life. Franklin also owned two properties in the Detroit suburb of Highland Park. The entire Aretha Franklin estate including her real estate was passed on to her four sons.
