Ali Choudhri News: Real Estate Racketeer And Texas Deadbeat Ali Choudhri Files 50th Bankruptcy In Texas

Yes it’s true. Texas deadbeat Ali Choudhri has filed bankruptcy. This is Choudhri’s 50th bankruptcy since 2012. Then again, what do you expect for a sociopath who doesn’t pay his bills and swindles people?

Ali Choudhri’ claims on his December 5, 2025 petition his debts are $56,590,000 and are from more than 85 creditors. Choudhri’s creditors are a who’s who of lenders who have successfully sued him for millions of dollars (Case 25-90797).

Choudhri also names National Bank of Kuwait (NKB) as a creditor. However, he didn’t list a dollar amount. NBK filed a $52 million dollar lawsuit against Choudhri two weeks before he filed bankruptcy.

This lawsuit is likely the catalyst for driving Choudhri to file bankruptcy. 

Oddly enough, he even names his mother as a creditor and his lawyer gal pal Gia Samavati. Choudhri also names nearly 20 different law firms as creditors. These law firms all represented him at one point in the past 5 years. It’s no wonder dozens of law firms have blacklisted Choudhri. 

So what does a real estate racketeer do when every Texas attorney slams their door in his face? He has his gal pal Gia Samavati aka Gia Scamavati represent him in the bankruptcy. However, this creates another issue. Scamavati is not a bankruptcy lawyer. She claims to be an immigration lawyer. As a result, they hired New Jersey bankruptcy attorney Bruce Duke

Scamavati had to petition the court with a Pro Hac Vice for Duke join the case. Duke’s website indicates Duke is only licensed to practice law in New Jersey.

Hopefully, Duke received a hefty upfront retainer from Choudhri.
