NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani Appoints Communist Cea Weaver as Gotham’s new “Tenant Tsar”
NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani has appointed Communist Cea Weaver as the city’s new director of the Office to Protect Tenants. Mamdani has nicknamed the position as “Tenant Tsar.”
The 37-year-old Weaver is a progressive “Housing Justice Warrior.”
She has vowed to launch a new era of standing up for tenants and fighting for affordable homes.
However, her promises are now being scrutinized.
Internet sleuths unearthed a treasure trove of controversial old posts she made on a now-deleted X account.
Weaver’s Tweets Sound Like Rebranded Passages Out Of The Communist Manifesto
Weaver goes full blown Karl Marx in her tweets. She say shes wants to “impoverish the white middle class.”
Marx called it by a different name in the Communist Manifesto. He called it, “bourgeois private property.”
Weaver also brands homeownership as ‘racist’ and ‘failed public policy.’
She called for the “seizure of private property.”
Weaver has even made a some bizarre claim that “homeownership is a weapon of white supremacy.”
She even went full on Black Liberation Army by endorsing a platform banning white men from running for office.
Weaver posted the controversial tweets between 2017 and 2019. It is unclear if Weaver still shares these viewpoints today.
She also encouraged voters to elect more communists.
Video Clip Of Cea Weaver Makes Socialist Bernie Sanders Sound Like Ayn Rand
In addition to the resurfaced tweets, video of Weaver talking about the housing market has also gone viral. Weaver’s views on basic economics make socialists like Bernie Sanders sound like an Ayn Rand groupie.
In 2022, Weaver recorded for a podcast interview when she suggested a drastic change in homeownership is soon to come.

The self-proclaimed communist holds a master’s degree in urban planning. Prior to being appointed Tenant Tsar, Weaver served as the executive director of Housing Justice for All. In addition, she was a director of New York State Tenant Bloc.
She played a key role in the passing of the Housing Stability and Tenant Protection Act of 2019. The HSTPA aimed to expand tenants’ rights across the state of New York.
The law strengthened rent stabilization. It also made it harder for landlords to raise rents and imposed restrictions on eviction. It also capped housing application fees to $20 and limited security deposits to one month’s rent.
Weaver, like Mamdani is a member of the Democratic Socialists of America. She also served as a policy adviser on the Mamdani’s NYC mayor’s campaign.
She grew up in Rochester, New York and now lives in Brooklyn. Crain’s named Weaver to their list of New York’s 40 Under 40 last year.
NYC Deputy Mayor for Housing and Planning, Leila Bozorg, branded Weaver a powerhouse for tenants’ rights. Bozorg also said she was excited to see the innovation Weaver brings to this new role.
She must relish being called a “racist c**t,” because she’s built a career on that title.
