Georgina Chapman Is Facing Foreclosure On Her NYC Home

Harvey Weinstein’s Ex-Wife Georgina Chapman Is Facing Foreclosure On Her $2.5 Million New York City Home

Harvey Weinstein’s ex-wife Georgina Chapman could be about to lose her New York City home. Chapman is the designer behind Marchesa.

The Real Deal is reporting CrossCountry Mortgage is foreclosing on the two-bedroom townhouse. The property is located at 99 Jane Street in the West Village.

Chapman bought the apartment with all cash in 2009 for $1.7 million.

Since then, she has refinanced it twice along with her brother Edward Chapman. Edward Chapman is the CEO of high-end fashion brand Marchesa.

The pair defaulted on the mortgage in November 2024. As a result, CrossCountry Mortgage, LLC filed a foreclosure lawsuit.

The foreclosure complaint states Chapman owes the original $2.5 million loan plus interest and late fees.

The condo board at 99 Jane is also suing the Chapmans for more than $7,000 in unpaid HOA fees.

Harvey Weinstein’s Ex-Wife Is Facing More Money Trouble

Chapman is also facing other financial woes.

GFP Real Estate is also suing her for $1.4 million. They allege she owes money for back rent for an office she leased at 80 Eighth Avenue.

To make matters even worse, Marchesa is also in deep trouble.

Marchesa customers flooded the Better Business Bureau’s website with complaints about the company. They say they returned items but didn’t get refunds.

Chapman married Weinstein in 2007. She announced her split from Weinstein in 2017. In 2021, their divorce was finalized.

A New York jury convicted Weinstein of third-degree rape and first-degree criminal sexual assault. A New York judge sentenced Weinstein to 23 years in prison.

In June, a judge declared a mistrial on another third-degree rape charge. Jurors became unable to reach a verdict due to internal conflict.

New York prosecutors will try to convict Weinstein for a third time later this year in that sexual assault case.

Chapman allegedly received a payout between $15 and $20 million in the divorce.

In 2024, a billionaire Bruce Karsh bought Chapman and Weinstein’s West Village townhouse at 13 Bank St. for $25.62 million.
