Kevin Spacey Refuses To Leave Mansion After Losing It At A Foreclosure Auction
Kevin Spacey refuses to vacate his luxurious Baltimore home after losing it in a foreclosure auction for $3.24 million. As a result, Bethesda investor Sam Asgari has found himself in a bitter standoff with the notorious actor.
Asgari scored the property for a bargain price during the auction at Baltimore Circuit Court.
But what seemed like a smooth deal quickly turned into a headache. Why? Spacey reportedly won’t hand over the keys.
Asgari revealed to the Baltimore Banner:
As a result, Asgari is now forced him into negotiations with the actor’s lawyers.
Spacey’s attorney, Edward U. Lee III has shot back at these claims saying they were false.
The 9,000-square-foot property was Spacey’s primary residence while he was filming “House of Cards.”
The actor had originally purchased the home for a hefty $5.65 million in 2017. This made Asgari’s acquisition a steal until the complications began.
Asgari made local headlines earlier this year for purchasing the childhood home of Baltimore legend Johns Hopkins.

He has reportedly been trying to take possession of the property for almost three weeks. Yet, he continually finds himself entangled in legal wrangling with Spacey’s lawyers.
Asgari’s purchase was sealed with a $100,000 deposit. He could potentially initiate eviction proceedings with help of Sheriff’s Deputies against Spacey.
Spacey’s refusal to leave is also the latest chapter in a string of financial woes for the fallen star.
The mansion was foreclosed on after Spacey defaulted on his $20,230 monthly mortgage payments. Spacey’s default was the result of being fired from House of Cards and legal problems.
New York jurors sided with Spacey in one high-profile case in Manhattan. A London jury also acquitted him of sexual assault charges just nine months ago.
As Spacey’s battle to keep his home continues. There is now a two-episode documentary about the actor’s past and foreclosure titled “Spacey Unmasked,” streaming on Max. The actor has also publicly condemned the documentary for its lack of fairness.
