Original Charlie Kirk Murder Suspect George Zinn Busted With Kiddie Porn On His Phone At the Scene Of The Shooting
When police arrested the original Charlie Kirk murder suspect they made shocking discovery. They discovered he had dozens of kiddie porn images on his phone. Police arrested George Zinn just moments after the conservative activist’s assassination. Zinn told the police he shot Charlie Kirk just moments after the shooting.
The 71-year-old Utah resident was initially suspected of being the shooter. He was soon cleared of being the suspected shooter. However, he confessed to the shooting to a causing a distraction to keep law enforcement away from the shooter.
Police transported Zinn after his arrest to a hospital for a pre-existing medical condition. It was in the hospital that he helped the alleged killer Tyler Robinson escape. Utah County Sheriff’s Office stated Zinn also admitted he uses his phone to view kiddie porn. In addition, he confessed there may be some images on his phone.
Zinn agreed to hand his phone over to FBI agents. FBI agents found a number of images ‘of scantily dressed prepubescent girls.
The Utah Special Victims Unit then took over the matter. They soon uncovered a treasure trove of kiddie porn on Zinn’s phone.
Police found dozens of pictures of 5 to 12 years old children half dressed and posing sexually.
Authorities also uncovered very graphic sexual text threads Zinn shared the images with other parties.
Zinn then admitted he gets sexual gratification from viewing and sharing the images. He said he prefers children who are between 5 and 12 years old.Â

Zinn said he caused a disruption because he “wanted to be a martyr for the person who was shot.”
Police said there is no indication he colluded with Tyler Robinson. He was there and falsely admitted to being the shooter.
Doctors soon released Zinn from the hospital. Police then took him to the Salt Lake County Jail. A judge denied Zinn bond. Police charged him with four counts of second-degree felony sexual exploitation of a minor. In addition, prosecutors charged him with one count of second-degree felony obstruction of justice.
Authorities say Zinn is known to frequent protests and demonstrations in the state. Prosecutors say have prosecuted numerous Zinn dating back to the 1980s.
Many of his arrests were for trespassing.Â
The District Attorney said he was aware of Zinn from years of political protests in Utah.Â
Prosecutors say, “by and large, he’s more of a gadfly than anything else”.
Salt Lake County District Attorney Sim Gill said that his office had tried to get Zinn into mental health court. However, he refused.Â
Zinn’s most serious arrest came in 2013. Police arrested him for threatening to plant bombs at the finish line of the Salt Lake City Marathon.
He took a plea deal in the case and initially received a sentence of probation. However, Zinn violated his probation. As a result, he was ordered to serve a year in jail.
Police arrested Zinn in January for suspicion of trespassing trying to get into the Sundance Film Festival.
