Fox News Scientologist Greta Van Susteren Goes Off About The DOJ Settlement W/ Banks Over Libor Rigging
I normally don’t link to Fox for their news stories because as we all know the information Fox “News” puts on the air isn’t exactly news. However, there seems to be a first time for everything. Last night, Fox News Scientologist and presenter actually said something I actually agree with.
Yesterday, the DOJ settled their criminal investigations against Barclays, Citicorp, JPMorgan, RBS and UBS in return for the five banks agreeing to pay a combined fine of $5.8 Billion dollars. Unfortunately, the corporations were found liable for rigging the Libor Index not the executives who masterminded the fraud. Therefore, the people actually benefiting from the fraud won’t be facing criminal prosecution because in the eyes of the law, corporations are people too. The burden of the settlement then falls on the shoulders of the shareholders.
Every night, Fox News Scientologist, Greta Van Susteren gives a commentary at the end of her show. Last night she nailed it by expressing the frustrations most Americans have when the Department of Justice reaches settlements like this with the banks but does nothing about going after the executives.
