The Treasury Department has issued it’s updated TILA Guidebook. The Guidebook contains the revisions to the Truth-In-Lending Act mandated under the Dodd-Frank Act. The Guidebook covers everything from compliance issues during the origination of mortgage loans to defenses against civil actions from homeowners. It also covers the proper way to calculate loan payments on mortgage loans.
Hundreds of financial geeks and cosplayers camped outside the U.S. Government Printing Office in Washington, D.C. last week in anticipation of the guidebook’s Friday release.
