Wesley Bubeck couldn’t quite pinpoint what his gut was telling him, but something didn’t seem right about Robert Allen Tribble Jr.’s house when they met there last summer.

To him, the Jupiter house looked as if Tribble was squatting in it. It turns out, authorities say, that’s exactly what Tribble was doing.

But Bubeck didn’t know it at the time. Bubeck had seen an ad on Craigslist for a lease-to-own house and picked up the phone. Tribble, 50, identified himself as the owner, saying he had inherited the property from his father. Apart from the strange vibe at Tribble’s house, Bubeck didn’t see any problems.
